Push notifications are automated messages that are sent to your users based on their progress, via email and a message in the 1-1 coaching box if activated.
There are six types of triggers that can prompt a notification:
- Mission was completed
- Level was completed
- User didn't log in for a certain number of days
- User didn't complete a habit in X days
- User completed a habit X days in a row
- X days since the user signed up
Triggers 1 and 2 can be sent in one of the following times, based on your choice:
- Next time frame (1-3 hours after the Mission was completed)
- Next afternoon/evening (closest afternoon/evening to the completion of the Mission/Level)
- Next day morning/afternoon/evening (the following day, in the morning/afternoon/evening)
How to set up the push notifications
To set up push notifications for your Quest, download the spreadsheet attached below, at the bottom of this article. After downloading the spreadsheet, fill out the following details in the designated columns:
For "Mission/Level completion" push notifications
- Mission number
- Mission name (you cannot have multiple Missions with the same name, make sure each Mission has a unique name)
- Message text (the notification itself)
- When to send it (you can also specify to "send the notification only if the next mission wasn't completed yet)
For the other types of push notifications
- The specific trigger (for example, didn't log in in 3 days)
- Message text (the notification itself)
Tip: You can create multiple "sequences" for the didn't login trigger, each sequence for a different number of inactive days. For example, a sequence for users who didn't log in in 3 days, and another sequence for users who didn't log in in 7 days.
After you've filled out the spreadsheet, send it to your Project Manager so he/she can upload the notifications to your account.
