Terminology:
- Cohort = a group of people that will be in the same community section of a quest (course).
- Learning Path = adding content items or quests in sequence for a learner.
- Learning Group = in order to send multiple content items to a learner/s > you will need to create a learning group. A learning group could consist of quests / learning paths / stand alone content items. You can also create a learning group without creating a learning path first.
- * You must have the Learner Dashboard activated for your account to distribute stand alone content, a learning path or a learning group. Please ask your Project Manager to do this for you.
Steps to set up a Learning Path and Learning Group: See video below
- Under "manage content" > select the correct quest.
- Click "Manage" > "cohort" > set up a new cohort for the corporate if needed (name, default mentor, tick other mentors in list below for community) > "save".
- Repeat the above 2 steps for all quests needed for the corporate.
- Press "create new content" > "learning path".
- Setup learning path name (learners will see this), image and brief description paragraph. Tick "selected learners" and your shared profile for the settings and press "create".
- Add each quest in sequence into the learning path. If you want them to be able to choose which quest to do when > do NOT tick the "Previous Content must be completed" button and select your cohort for each quest.
- Under "user management" > press "learning groups". Select a name for the learning group (learners will not see this > for your records only) and press "save".
- Press the icon on the far right (3 bullets and lines) that says "manage quests". Here you will press "add content" and then add your applicable learning path.
Options to Invite New Learners to Sign Up:
* Cannot use for learners already in the system (contact your Project Manager for advice if they are already signed up)
Option 1: Invite via A Link
- Under "user management" > press "invite via link".
- Add a description (learners will not see this > for your records only) > usage limit is the number of learners who paid you to sign up > ignore expiry date & Starting Content/Path > select the learning group > say 1 under bulk generation > "save".
Press the clipboard icon to copy the link. Place this link in a welcome email with instructions for a learner.
Option 2: Invite via Email
- This is possible by pressing the Manage users icon in the learning group. Add emails manually or upload a CSV file with email list.
- OR Under "user management" > press "invite via email".
- Select "Learner" as the role.
- Select the learning group.
- Add emails manually or upload a CSV file with email list.
- Press "send invitations".
Instructions for learners signing up via a link:
- Click the link
- Press "register here".
- Add your name, email and password > then press "create account" to login.
- When your learner dashboard opens click your button to open your learning path.
- You can press "start quest" to begin your first course.
- Should you need to return to your learning dashboard > you can hover over the course name and select "Learning Dashboard".
Instructions for Learners signing up via email:
- The learner will receive an email.
- Click the button to sign up.
- Add your name and password > then press "create account" to login.
- When your learner dashboard opens click your button to open your learning path.
- You can press "start quest" to begin your first course.
- Should you need to return to your learning dashboard > you can hover over the course name and select "Learning Dashboard".
